Fees
The following information is provided as a guide only.
- The first consultation is free whether conducted by telephone or in person. To ascertain your needs please contact us to discuss how best we can meet you needs and the likely costs.
- On the assumption that most mediations will require at least a day of professional time (8 hours) the costs are likely to be between $1,500 and $2,500. A simple case requiring a half day or less (4 hours) is likely to cost between $500 and $1,000 depending on the amount of preparation required.
- Room hire charged at cost.
- Travel charged at 60 cents per kilometer, interstate fares negotiable.
- The total cost of the mediation and who is responsible for payment will be written into the Mediation Agreement and signed by all parties prior to the mediation taking place.
- 50% of the total fee is payable in advance, and 50% within 7 days of completion.
- Employers can opt for a package of services which includes follow up with the parties on a weekly or fortnightly basis for up to three months.
- Community and not for profit organizations may be eligible for reduced fees, as are individuals on very low incomes, in some instances pro bono services may be negotiated.
