My name is Alan Taylor and ADT Mediation is my business.
My objective is to facilitate a win: win resolution to your conflict. I am a Nationally Accredited Mediator with the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators (Australia). As a part of my accreditation I am required to regularly undertake further training and on going professional development, this ensures that my skills and knowledge of Alternative Dispute Resolution practices and processes remains relevant and up to date.
My Background
Prior to establishing ADT Mediation, I was the Chief Executive Officer of a Community Health Centre in rural Victoria. I relished this role and dedicated myself to the organization and its needs for over thirteen years. As well as focusing on the needs of the local community, the health centre was also a multi-million dollar business which employed over 100 staff operating from three sites. To manage a business of this size requires a range of interpersonal, management, financial and life skills, which I have developed and demonstrated many times throughout my career. In addition to my role within the organization I have served on a number of committees and Boards and as a Company Director.
Prior to my role in Community Health I held a number of positions with the State Government of Victoria in both Human Services and Education. I have also been a youth worker in inner Melbourne, a Union representative, and an advocate for unemployed young people.
My career has now taken a different direction, I am passionate about mediation, and I take great pleasure and satisfaction at being able to assist people to resolve matters which have often been the cause of great distress. I understand when the needs of individuals and organizations come into conflict and how business relations can sour when grievances are not easily resolved.
I bring all of these personal and professional experiences to my work as a Mediator.
